I have heard about this restaurant for many years, but this was my first time visiting. My dining partner and I did not have a reservation, but we lucked out by securing the last two counter seats overlooking the kitchen. I did not know that it was BYOB, so I didn't take advantage of that. I preferred to taste more menu items rather than get an entree. The soup du jour was a savory sweet potato bisque with chopped pecans and dried cranberries. It was well-seasoned and almost had a little kick to it. This soup pumped life into my chilled, rainy autumn night bones. Next, I had the local beet salad with multicolored beets, soft goat cheese, pickled red onions, and maple-cider vinaigrette. The flavors were balanced perfectly and I was so pleased I had ordered it. I also had the pulled pork mac n cheese, which was also very good. My partner had a house salad, and he enjoyed it. I was fairly jealous of the person dining to my left, as she was served two decadent looking desserts. I definitely want to return another time to sample more items. My compliments to the chef!
Reservation was punctual. Service was spot on. Attentive but not pestering. Food was remarkable as always. Apps came in 8 minutes after ordering. The main course about 15 minutes after that. Plenty of time to digest and compose. Truly a pleasurable dining experience all the way through.
Food was absolutely delicious. Each appetizer and entree had excellent flavor and really was cooked to perfection (highly recommend the shrimp and grits). Unfortunately the AC inside the restaurant just isn’t sufficient to cool it down enough to enjoy the atmosphere. On the evening we went it had to have been over 80 degrees inside the restaurant. All 4 members of my group were sweating and uncomfortable from the heat. When we mentioned the heat to the staff they acknowledged it was an ongoing issue. If they can get that sorted out I would gladly return and very likely update my review to 5 stars.
They had great service and food. I got the lamp. The pork rolls were good and the powder donuts were 😋.
Drew’s food is consistently delicious. Every dish on the menu and every creation they come up with are incredible. The newest location has such great charm and character. Hands down the best restaurant around!
My husband and I ate dinner there for the first time tonight. Phenomenal! It felt like the best comfort food I've ever had. Simple ingredients cooked to perfection. We will definitely be going back! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Visited Drew's at their new location for an early mother's day dinner with the family. As always, everything was incredible. There were 5 in our party so we all got to try several dishes. Voodoo shrimp is always a must order. We also had the short rib, chicken, jambalaya, soft shell crab special, Mac and cheese and the chili special. So good!!
My wife and I have been going here for years. Place is on point. My most recent experiment was the “dr. Pepper ribs” , very nice. Soft meat. Boom boom style. They are BYOB , for some that’s a turn off , I personally hate pouring my own drink. Staff is always very nice and knowledgeable. Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. Funny and trashy dumpster setup near the front door. Voodoo shrimp is very yumyum as are the mussels. I always finish my food 💪💪. Give them a shot !
